Daily maintenance measures for the power head of rotary drilling rig
Author:
1、 Replace the lubricating oil of the power head of the rotary drilling rig
1. Remove the inspection cover located under the power head drive device.
2. Remove the oil drain pipe from the fixture on the upper rack, with the hose end facing the container.
3. Use a universal joint with a sleeve extension joint to loosen the drain valve and drain the oil into a suitable container.
4. Tighten the drain valve. Hang the oil drain pipe onto the fixture, ensuring that the hose end is facing upwards.
5. When replacing the lubricating oil of the power head of the rotary drilling rig, the dipstick should be taken out.
6. Add a certain amount of oil through the dipstick tube.
7. Keep the oil level between the top of the dipstick and the dipstick mark.
2、 Check and replace the power head flower key gear oil
1. Regularly check the height of the lubricating oil inside the gearbox through the transparent glass of the gearbox sight glass cover, ensuring that the oil level is not less than two-thirds of the vertical height of the sight glass. The bearings inside the gearbox are lubricated by oil slinging. If the oil level is too low and the bearings are poorly lubricated, it will reduce the service life of the equipment
When replacing the gear oil, first turn the power head gear oil drain plug to the lower position for easy operation and oil discharge.
3. Remove the discharge plug and oil level plug, and allow the power head gear oil to be discharged into a suitable container. During the discharge process, the power head gear can be slowly rotated to facilitate oil discharge and clean up pollutants. However, safety should be taken into account at this time, and relevant personnel should stay away from the site when the gear is rotating.
4. Check the plugs and seals to see if they are intact. If there is obvious wear or damage, replace them with new parts.
5. After the oil is drained, install the screw plug.
6. Unscrew the hydraulic hose joint connecting the upper part of the power head to the accumulator, pay attention to protecting the cleanliness of the joint, and add lubricating oil (220 heavy-duty industrial gear oil) into the gearbox through this joint hole. While observing the oil level height through the sight glass, add it to two-thirds higher than the glass height, but do not fill it up. If it is filled up, it will cause the power head seal to leak, allowing hydraulic oil or water to enter the gearbox, which may contaminate the gearbox.
After completing the above steps, tighten the hose connector removed in step 5 and install the oil level plug.
8. Start the engine and let the power head gear run a few times.
9. Stop the engine and check if the oil level is higher than two-thirds of the height of the sight glass.
